This Privacy Policy explains how Axleno LLC ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the Hush application ("App") on iOS, macOS, Android, or any other supported platform, as well as our website at hushforall.com ("Website").
By using Hush, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Information We Collect
a) Account Information
When you create an account using Apple Sign-In or Google Sign-In, we receive your user identifier and, if you choose to share it, your name and email address. You may also set a display name within the App.
b) Usage Data
We collect anonymous, aggregated usage data to improve the App. This includes session duration, features used, audio category preferences, and general app performance metrics. This data does not personally identify you.
c) Audio Preferences
Your sound preferences, saved presets, favorite scenes, and volume settings are stored to personalize your experience. These preferences are synced to your account so they persist across devices.
d) Room Participation Data
If you join shared listening rooms, we store minimal metadata such as room join/leave timestamps and your chosen display name. We do not record or store any audio transmitted during room sessions.
e) Device Information
We collect basic device information such as operating system version, device model, and app version for compatibility and debugging purposes. We do not collect unique device identifiers for tracking.
f) Touch and Interaction Data
Touch, trackpad, and gesture interaction data generated during sessions is processed entirely on your device. This data is never transmitted to our servers. It exists only in device memory during active use and is discarded when the session ends.
2. Information We Do NOT Collect
- We do not record, store, or transmit your audio or microphone input.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers or data brokers.
- We do not use third-party advertising SDKs or ad-tracking frameworks.
- We do not collect your location data, contacts, photos, or calendar information.
- We do not use device fingerprinting or cross-app tracking techniques.
- We do not build advertising profiles or sell behavioral data.
3. How We Use Your Information
- Service Operation: To create and manage your account, authenticate your identity, and deliver core App functionality.
- Improvement: To analyze anonymous usage trends, identify bugs, and improve features and performance.
- Personalization: To remember your preferences, presets, and settings across sessions and devices.
- Safety and Moderation: To enforce our Terms of Use, detect abuse, and maintain a safe environment for all users.
- Communication: To respond to your support requests or send critical service notifications (we do not send marketing emails without your consent).
4. Third-Party Services
Hush integrates with the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data:
- Apple Sign-In: Used for authentication on Apple platforms. Governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
- Google Sign-In: Used for authentication on Android. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
- ElevenLabs: Used for text-to-speech voice generation in premium features. Voice synthesis requests are processed through their API. Governed by ElevenLabs' Privacy Policy.
- Google Gemini: Used for AI-powered content moderation to maintain community safety. User-generated text content may be processed for safety evaluation. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
- Apple App Store / Google Play: In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed through Apple or Google. We do not receive or store your payment information.
We do not share your personal data with these services beyond what is necessary for their specific function.
5. Data Storage and Security
Server Infrastructure. Your account data is stored on secure servers located in the European Union. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest.
On-Device Storage. Authentication tokens and sensitive credentials are stored in the platform's secure storage, protected by the operating system's encryption.
Database. Profile data, preferences, and account information are stored in an encrypted database. We apply the principle of data minimization: we store only what is necessary for the App to function.
We use commercially reasonable security measures to protect your data, including encryption, access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You may request account deletion at any time through the App's settings or by contacting us. Upon receiving a deletion request:
- Your account will be deactivated immediately.
- All personal data associated with your account will be permanently purged from our systems within 30 days.
- Anonymous, aggregated usage data that cannot identify you may be retained for analytical purposes.
- Data required to be retained by law (such as transaction records) will be kept for the legally mandated period and then deleted.
7. Your Privacy Rights
Regardless of where you reside, we extend the following rights to all users:
- Right to Access: You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to Deletion: You may request that we delete your account and all associated personal data.
- Right to Rectification: You may update or correct your information within the App or by contacting us.
- Right to Data Portability: You may request your data in a standard, machine-readable format.
- Right to Object: You may object to certain types of data processing.
- Right to Withdraw Consent: Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.
For European Users (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Our lawful bases for processing are: contractual necessity (to provide the service), legitimate interest (to improve the App), and consent (where applicable). You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
For California Users (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, request its deletion, and opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell your personal information. To exercise your rights, contact us using the information below.

8. Children's Privacy
Hush is not designed for or directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately and we will promptly delete it. This policy complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
Users between 13 and 17 may use Hush with parental or guardian consent as applicable by local law.
9. Cookies and Tracking
Our Website uses minimal, session-only cookies required for basic functionality (such as maintaining your session state). We do not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or advertising cookies. The App itself does not use cookies.
10. Push Notifications
We may send push notifications for important updates or features. These are only sent with your explicit consent through your device's permission system. You may disable notifications at any time through your device settings.
11. International Data Transfers
Our servers are located in the European Union. If you access the App from outside the EU, your data may be transferred to and processed in the EU. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for any international data transfers in compliance with applicable data protection laws.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and notify you through an in-app notification or App update. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. If you do not agree to any changes, please discontinue use of the App and request account deletion.
